Preparations

• Login to Facebook Developers and go to “My App”

  • https://developers.facebook.com/apps/?show_reminder=true

• Choose an app and go to the edit page.

  • If you haven’t created an App yet, please click “Create App”. This App is the application for your Facebook Page.

    

  • Select “Other”.

    

  • Select “Business” as the App type.

    

  • Fulfill the related information and click “Create App”

    

• Find Instagram Settings in Products.

  • If you haven’t added a product yet, please click on “Add Product”, find “Messenger” and click “set up”

    

  • If you already added “Messenger”, then follow the path below.

    Products → Messenger → Instagram Settings → Access Tokens

• Set up an Instagram Page that you want to connect with the PinChat link, and make sure you are the administrator.

  

• Switch the App Mode from “Development” to “Live”

  

How to complete the integration

Step 1: Add Page

Make sure you have a page added in the Instagram Settings Page.

Step 2: Copy Page ID and Page Access Token

After you added a page over here, you will see the Page ID right below the Page Name. Please copy it and fill it in in the corresponding text field in the PinChat dashboard.

Then, click on “Generate token” to retrieve the token, copy it, and fill it in the corresponding text field in the PinChat dashboard.

Step 3: Add Callback URL

Press Add Callback URL and paste the Webhook URL from PinChat Dashboard over here.

You can enter any text as the Verify token, it is mainly for verification when you need to edit the Callback URL next time.
